DC charging cabinets require a connection to the grid for proper operation and rely on stable voltage and frequency. During charging, when the battery pack voltage reaches the rated voltage, the charging station extracts energy from the grid and converts it into heat, which it dissipates. Therefore, DC charging cabinets are grid-dependent and cannot operate independently.
